From there, we’ll create a design fee proposal and review the necessary phases and processes for your home renovation. Together, we’ll design your new home build or renovation, ensuring your style, preferences, and budget remain our top priorities.
Specification Development
This is the exciting phase where your design truly shines! We’ll collaborate with you to personalize your project, selecting everything from plumbing and electrical fixtures to millwork and finish carpentry details. Once we’ve fine-tuned all your choices, we’ll finalize the drawings and get ready for the next step in the home-building process.
Budget & Schedule Development
Our home builders create your budget based on the finalized construction drawings and approved specifications. At this stage, we’ll make any necessary adjustments to your drawings to align with your final construction costs and schedule your project start date. It’s all about making sure everything is perfectly in place before we begin!
Project Administration & Management
Our project management team is here to keep your project running smoothly! They’ll monitor every detail, track the schedule, and keep you updated on progress, so you always know where things stand. Plus, they coordinate with our team members and trades to ensure everything stays on track and timelines are met. You’re in good hands!
Home Construction
Our in-house team of expert home builders will handle every detail of your renovation or new build—from construction to coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and city inspections. Your project will be managed daily by a dedicated project manager, ensuring the highest standards of quality are upheld in your home.
Warranty Care
At Harwood, we believe in building lasting relationships with our clients, even after your project is complete! You’ll benefit from a comprehensive two-year warranty that covers everything, including services from our trusted subcontractors. Your peace of mind is our priority!
Frequently Asked Questions
How will we be kept informed during the duration of our project?
As part of your home builders team, you will have a dedicated site foreman dedicated to your project. They will be available to you for questions and give you weekly reports on the status of your project, including recent work, the schedule for the week ahead, and any outstanding issues that need to be resolved to keep the project moving along.
Who exactly will work on our project?
Harwood’s very own trained and skilled home builders will complete about 75% of the project, so you’ll know exactly who is coming into your home. We also have excellent relationships with trusted subcontractors for specialty work.
What happens if we have a problem after the project is complete?
Harwood provides a full two-year warranty on your project and warranty assistance on anything supplied for your project. We also provide equipment manuals and contact information for any subcontractors, should any issues ever arise.

How long does a typical project take?
